About his work:
The Human figure was the constant source of Dobson’s inspiration. From the 1920’s he concentrated on the female nude.His work reflects a range of influences. Most obviously the work of the French Sculptor, Aristide Maillol and the art of India and the Orient. The original is worked in Marble and dates to the same period as a journey that Dobson undertook to Sri Lanka.
