Dunoon fine bone china mugs are dishwasher safe; however, hand washing is recommended to help preserve the decoration and finish. If using a dishwasher, use a mild detergent and avoid abrasive or metallic cleaning products.

Mugs are microwave safe unless the decoration contains gold, silver, platinum or other precious metals.

To help prevent cracking from thermal shock, avoid pouring boiling water directly into the mug. Pour hot water over the back of a teaspoon or add milk first. Rinse promptly after use to help prevent staining.
